Is The Best Selling Budget 4K HDR TV On Amazon Worth It? | TCL 4-Series Review

Is it possible to get a good quality 4K HDR TV for under $400? Today we are looking at the TCL 49S425 49" 4K HDR10 TV, which is one of the best selling budget 4K HDR TV's on Amazon.

So, is the TCL 4-Series actually good? I too was skeptical of it's quality and performance given it's rock bottom pricing on Amazon and across various online resellers, so I went into this purchase expecting to be very underwhelmed. 

The TCL 4-Series lineup offers a 4K HDR10 panel, simulated 120hz motion smoothing, smart features thanks to the embedded Roku OS, and just enough connectivity on it's IO to keep the average person satisfied.

Everything here works well. The HDR features make colors come to life, while the panel used does a very good job limited noticeable light bleed and/or bloom. The Roku TV OS provides you with an plethora of entertainment options from top brands and allows this TV to be fully features while operating as a standalone device.

So, is the TCL 4-Series worth it? Absolutely! I am continuously impressed by this panel and what it has to offer given it's rock bottom price point, and I am looking forward to seeing what TCL has coming in the future.

I went with Vizio once, and it was a huge mistake. Just a few weeks after the warranty ran out, it went kaput!! And Vizio wouldn't do anything for us, told us to buy a new one as the repairs would cost about the same as a new Vizio TV would cost. So I wonder how TCL's build quality, warranty and customer service stands up?

but that would be the case of most manufacturer from TV to cars

Ive owned Sony's most of my life, and not had an issue with any of them. I had a 51" HDTV CRT TV, that would not die. I tried giving it away for free when we had no more use for it. Another Sony 55" HDTV LCD, is about 10yrs old and is being used by Connor in the play room, and it's still going strong!!

Just saying, sometimes you get what you pay for!!

I had a Prima for 13 years it was a cheap alternative cause 13 years ago falt tvs were expensive and it's still working stronger..... and where's Prima today?

Their social media presence in Canada has been insanely strong since their introduction late last year. Usually a company the focuses on brand image does well with after service. With that being said, even if the TV craps out in 4 years their repurchase price seems to be a fraction of a bigger brand name. I
